Attention Registrants: As you know, many places are taking precautionary action due to the COVID-19 virus. We at Texas Fire Academy, want to make sure we keep registrants, students, and employees safe, as well. As of 03/17/2020, we are NOT accepting walk-ins registration items due to precautions our Fire Chief has put in place for COVID-19.

 

You can still upload documents to the website, scan and email to admissions@texasfireacademy.com , or take legible pictures of the documents and send to the email. For payments: there is a link below on the website to pay. If you must pay by check, it can be mailed to Texas Fire Academy, 3528 Hunter Road, San Marcos, TX 78666.

Texas Fire Academy's Driver/Operator Course is an online (computer based), TCFP approved, training program, typically lasting eight (8) weeks in length. The course covers all curriculum requirements of TCFP and NFPA. The requirements can be viewed on the TCFP website

 

Description of Certification Level

 

A Driver/Operator-Pumper is an individual who possesses the qualities, knowledge and skills necessary to maintain and operate a pumping apparatus in non-emergency and emergency situations.

 

Driver/Operator Tuition: $275.00

This includes textbook, online course access and TCFP state skills testing.

 

To Register for the class:

Submit a payment using the form below, then complete the Advanced Course Application and upload it using the enrollment file uploads link in the Downloads area on the right side of the page.

 

Important Information:

Registration ends at 5 p.m. on the date specified for each class. Incomplete registration requirements and/or unpaid balance on tuition may result in the loss of the class seat to someone on a waiting list.

 

You will be required to attend in person on the last day of class at the specified academy testing location for TCFP skills testing and the course final exam at 8 a.m. In most cases the testing location will be Station 11, 3528 Hunter Road, San Marcos, Texas. The length of final day is dependent on class size and other factors, please plan for at least eight hours.
